Western is proud to offer the Employee Language Program workshops for spring quarter 2014 and thanks President Bruce Shepard and the President's Office for their continued support of this program.
The WWU Employee Conversational Language workshops are an initiative put forth by the President's Office to support Western faculty and staff through professional development and to encourage multicultural outreach and awareness. The workshops are the result of a combined effort by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, and Extended Education.
In addition to the Spanish workshops, this quarter we are offering a workshop in Basic Chinese Language and Culture.
For the Spanish workshops - there will be four levels of workshops and an additional session on Hispanic cultural studies, please select the level that most appropriately matches your background with Spanish. For workshop level descriptions and recommended preparation, please visit the descriptions section on the program webpage.
Workshops will begin the second week of spring quarter, starting on April 7. A listing of offerings and times is available on the program home page.
Priority will be given to those interested participants who indicate a high need. Be sure to communicate with your supervisor prior to registering for a workshop; if you have additional questions, a FAQ page is available on the program website).
