Job seekers looking for ways to connect directly with employers are invited to attend Western Washington University's Business Career Fair, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 in the Mac Gym of the Wade King Student Recreation Center. Admission is free.
The fair allows students and the general public to meet with hiring managers from a wide range of employers, including private companies, nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

And Connell's premonition came true Saturday, Oct. 22, as the Vikings' offense showcased its true capability in a 4-0 Great Northwest Athletic Conference victory over Northwest Nazarene University, at Orca Field on the campus of Whatcom Community College.

Costco has dumped a startling $22.5 million into the ballot proposal that would open liquor sales in Washington to big retailers, and the new record for donations to a single ballot campaign is getting some attention.

Foes of Initiative 1183 are using the big donations to say Costco is trying to buy the election. But the I-1183 opposition also has raised a whopping $11.7 million, most of it from national and state alcohol wholesalers.
