WWU's Donovan to discuss summer marine biology course in Mexico at Feb. 15 event

Deborah Donovan, a professor of biology at Western Washington University, will present “Tropical Marine Biology: A Collaborative International Course” at noon Tuesday, Feb. 15, in College Hall Room 131. The presentation is part of the Center for International Studies' winter quarter lecture series.

Donovan will describe a collaborative marine biology course offered last summer in Mexico. The course was taught by professors from WWU and Universidad Autonoma de Baja California Sur and was taken by students from both institutions. The talk will focus on the structure of the course, the curriculum and the benefits of the collaboration, especially for the American and Mexican students.
