BELLINGHAM - Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics’ Center for Economic Vitality (CEV), in partnership with the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce, is offering a free business workshop, “Social Media: Stalking Your Customers for Fun and Profit,” from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in the Whatcom Educational Credit Union’s Ferndale branch community room at 5659 Barrett Road.

The workshop is open to any and all business owners and managers interested in learning more about social media and its business applications. Business Strategist Eric Grimstead from the CEV will present a tactic-rich presentation covering key issues for getting the most out of social media networks, driving more traffic to a website or local storefront, managing paid advertising campaigns, and monitoring a company’s brand with online reputation management and customer service.

This workshop will offer tools and strategies for using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social media tools to their full potential with the goal of increasing fans, followers, prospects and ultimately sales.

This is a brown-bag event and participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch. The workshop is informal and will allow time for questions. Pre-registration is required; contact Guy Occhiogrosso at the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce at (360) 384-3042 to register. For more information, contact the CEV at (360) 733-4014.
