WWU to Host Internship & Volunteer Fair Oct. 24
Individuals looking for ways to connect directly with non-profits and government agencies are invited to attend Western Washington University’s Internship and Volunteer Fair, which will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.
Presented in partnership with Whatcom Community Foundation & the Volunteer Center of Whatcom County, the Internship and Volunteer Fair is a major recruiting event that allows students and the general public to meet representatives from over 50 non-profit and government entities. Participating employers include: Americorps/Vista, Bellingham Public Schools, Camp Fire Samish, Common Threads Farm, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, Glacier Peak Institute, Habitat for Humanity, LAW Advocates, Lydia Place, Make.Shift, SPIE, Whatcom Land Trust, and many more.
This event provides valuable opportunities for students of all majors to discuss internship and volunteer possibilities with participating organizations. For those who may be uncertain about their career goals or options, the Internship & Volunteer Fair is an excellent resource for career exploration.
