WWU to host author Nancy Pearl in Poulsbo Lecture Feb. 17

Western Washington University on the Peninsulas will host author and librarian Nancy Pearl in its Western Lecture Series at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Poulsbo Middle School Auditorium.

Pearl will share her evolution from reader to librarian in the public event titled “The Pleasures and Perils of a Life of Reading.” The event costs $10 and attendees are encouraged to register online to secure their seating.

Pearl, a notable librarian and the author of the best-selling Book Lust series, is Western on the Peninsulas’ first Local Literature Book Club featured author. New books are presented quarterly and participants meet weekly to discuss the readings with the authors and local experts.

The Western Lecture Series hosts quarterly educational events with guest speakers as they share insight on popular topics in human rights, the environment, wellness, and more. Each lecture is open to the public and has a small registration fee or is free to attend.
