WWU’s Department of Theatre and Dance to Present “Cabaret” Feb. 19 – 20

Western Washington University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present Cabaret – work that is improvised, in-progress, collaborative or edgy – on Friday. Feb. 19 and Saturday. Feb. 20 in the Choir Room (room 16) of Western’s Performing Arts Center.

The series, which is in its eighth year, features new work in an experimental performance format presented by Western students and faculty throughout the year. Cabaret showcases collaborative efforts that span multiple arts forms – including dance, theater, song, poetry, and improvisation.

Rick Merrill, dance instructor, encourages work that “celebrates being present, vulnerable and on the spot” and describes “Cabaret” as “an informal and welcoming format.”
