WWU Music presents Solstice Wind Quintet on Nov. 12

The Western Washington University Department of Music presents the Solstice Wind Quintet in a concert of contemporary music at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) Concert Hall.

The Solstice Wind Quintet, which is the resident faculty wind quintet at Washington State University, will feature an adventurous program including a world premiere and works by Gregory Yasinitsky, Oliver Knussen, Carl Schimmel, Ryan M. Hare, and Ruth Crawford-Seeger.

The performance is free and open to the public.

In addition to the concert, the Solstice Wind Quartet will perform works composed by WWU students at 2 p.m. Saturday in the PAC Concert Hall.
