WWU mourning the loss of student Matthew Gaphni

The Western Washington University community is mourning the loss of WWU student Matthew Gaphni, a 21-year-old senior majoring in accounting from Bainbridge Island, who passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle following a brief illness.

A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at The LDS Chapel on High School Road on Bainbridge Island (next to Ordway Elementary School). Interment will take place at Port Blakely Cemetery on Bainbridge Island. A reception will follow at the family home.
