WWU Dance Program to feature new work by KT Niehoff in summer dance concert today and Friday

Western Washington University’s Dance Program will feature a new work choreographed by special guest KT Niehoff, artistic director of “Lingo,” during their annual Summer Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, July 29 and 30, at …Ving!, located at 311 E. Holly St. in Bellingham.

The performance is open to the public, and tickets will be available for $5 at the door.

Featured as one of 12 artists in the “International Women in Dance” article in the April 2008 issue of Dance Magazine, Niehoff was also named the 2007 Dance Artist of the Year by Seattle Magazine.

Niehoff will visit Western for a teaching residency from June 22 to July 30. During this time she will act as an instructor for students enrolled in Dance 357 - Repertory, and will collaboratively create new works with WWU Dance Program participants.
