WWU Business Forum raises $160K for student scholarships

The Western Washington University Business Forum, held April 25 in Seattle, raised nearly $160,000 for student scholarships at the university. The figure is an all-time high for the event.

The 2010 forum raised roughly $130,000 for scholarships, says Mark Bagley, senior director for fundraising in the Western Foundation. About 425 people attended both events.

Money for scholarships is raised through event, table and scholarship sponsorships and gifts made at the event.

Keynote speaker at the event was William Ayer, CEO of Alaska Airlines.
