WWU alumnus to read from new poetry book April 6

Western Washington University alumnus David Wheeler will be reading from his poetry book "Contingency Plans" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Village Books in Bellingham.

The book is a collection of poetry, much of it poetry of place concerned with the Northwest.

WWU faculty member and poet Oliver de la Paz says the book "resounds with the voice of a choir and the wearying road can always beckon you home," while national bestselling author Carol Cassella appreciates its "intimate reflections on spirituality and maturation, in harmony and conflict, that reverberate through every human journey."

"Contingency Plans" is published by T.S. Poetry Press in New York.
