WTA buses to be re-routed during High Street utility repairs

Compromised utility lines were recently discovered during the excavation work on High Street for the North Campus Utility Upgrade project.

Utility crews must make emergency repairs beginning Friday morning, July 25. High Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic (including WTA buses) on Friday and Monday while emergency crews make repairs. The crews will place metal plates over the excavation site late Friday to allow High Street to be open on Saturday and Sunday. On Tuesday, one lane on High Street will be reopened.

Metal plates have been placed on the sidewalk on the west side of Wilson Library in order to keep the sidewalk open to pedestrians. Please use caution in this area or avoid it if possible.

There will be no interruption of services to buildings. WTA buses are scheduled to be rerouted along Garden Street. WTA is posting signs at bus stops today, July 24. Please check these signs to confirm your routes.
