Women of color empowerment award, scholarship available

Student Outreach Services at Western Washington University is proud to announce the following opportunities:

Women of Color Empowerment Award: The Women of Color Empowerment Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates excellence in contributions to women of color while enhancing their understanding and sensitivity to women of color issues and concerns. All enrolled students, faculty, and staff of Western are eligible to be nominated. The powerful caliber of our nominees’ year in and year out is extraordinary and we are grateful to have so many wonderful contributors nominated. Nominations are due May 3. Women of Color Empowerment Scholarship: The Women of Color Empowerment Scholarship offers tangible assistance to encourage students and empower them to persist in their higher education pursuits at WWU. Scholarship offers up to $2,000 to full-time Western students who demonstrate support for or experience with the issues and concerns of women of color on Western's campus.
