Whatcom Volunteer Center connects students with opportunities to give back

For the final quarter this academic year, the Center for Service-Learning at Western Washington University is again collaborating with the Whatcom Volunteer Center to connect Western students with volunteer opportunities that benefit the community.

From noon to 4 p.m. every Thursday in the CSL office (Wilson Library Room 481), a representative from the volunteer center will be available to advise students on how to find volunteer opportunities that match their interests, skills and availability.

"When Western students volunteer in the community, they make real change happen, both for the people they serve and for themselves," said Dan Hammill, director of the WVC's volunteer program.
