Western students to read stories to children for Earth Day

The Western Washington University Center for Service-Learning is sponsoring the second-annual Earth Day Stories for children event from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Bellingham Public Library.

Community members are encouraged to bring their 3- to 8-year-old children to the Bellingham Public Library Children’s Room any time during those hours. Western students will celebrate Earth Day with children by reading nature and environment stories. Children also will be able to participate in Earth Day craft projects.

Parents are invited to attend a workshop on how to choose and read environmental books with children at 1 p.m. in the library's Dodson Room.
