Western students safe in Nepal

Four Western Washington University students in Nepal are safe and uninjured, in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck that country on Saturday.

The 7.9-magnitude earthquake has led to the deaths of thousands, with many thousands injured. The four Western students, in the Wildland Studies Program, were outside of hard-hit capital Kathmandu when the earthquake hit and are not expected back to Kathmandu until May 23.
