Western on the Peninsulas to Offer Community Courses in Marketing and Employment This April

Western Washington University on the Peninsulas will in April offer “Marketing to Compound Your Results: What Next Thinking” and “Employment Law and Business: What You Don’t Know CAN Hurt You” in its new Continuing Education program.

Held on the Olympic College Poulsbo campus, the professional development courses are open to the public and will provide knowledge for use in employment and business.

Taught by business coach Dave Mitchell, “Marketing to Compound Your Results” is a non-credit course for participants interested in developing marketing strategies and methods to identify their customer, communicate the value of their product or service and create higher sales. Classes meet six Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. beginning April 7 in Olympic College Poulsbo Room 107.

Taught by attorney James McCanna, “Employment Law and Business” is a non-credit course for business owners and working professionals in hiring, managing or supervisory positions. Classes meet six Thursdays from 1-5 p.m. beginning April 9 in Olympic College Poulsbo Room 107.

Interested participants are encouraged to attend McCanna’s free Western Lecture Series event, titled “Marijuana Law and Its Impact on Employers,” as a preview of his Continuing Education course. The free lecture will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 in Olympic College Poulsbo Room 105.

In partnership with Olympic College, Western on the Peninsulas offers four-year degrees, free educational lectures, local literature book groups and Continuing Education courses.
