Western Business Students Hosted by Mark Myers of Williams Kastner

Seven students from Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics were selected as outstanding students and attended a discussion-filled lunch hosted by Mark Myers of Williams Kastner Law Firm on Friday, Feb. 26 in Seattle.

The group of students represented each of the departments and majors in Western’s College of Business and Economics. Selection of students was based upon faculty input from each department.  Criteria for consideration included academic achievement, student activities and service. Students included McKenzie Tobeck of Eatonville, Lora Sonnen of Maple Valley, Naomi Thomas of Puyallup, Alex Sharpe of West Richland, Hannah Brock of Olympia, Paul Strickland of Tumwater, and Reilly Kintzele of Bellingham.

Six other executives joined Myers and these students for the lunch led by Kristi Lewis Tyran of Western’s Management Department, and Stella Hua from Western’s Decision Sciences Department.

Other executives attending included Jeff McKee of Premier Capital, Anthony Zackery of Zevenbergen Capital Investments, Brittany LaRiviere of Amazon, Tony George of Kitsap Bank  and Joel Peterson of US Trust, who are all WWU alumni.

Leadership Lunches are held quarterly and are sponsored by Western’s Center for Innovation in Education.
