Updated website with results of lead in drinking water testing for 2013

Western's Environmental Health and Safety Office has updated its lead in drinking water web pages with newer information about testing of drinking water for lead.

A number of locations in academic and administrative buildings with fixtures which were found to have lead concentrations in the water higher than the action level had their fixtures removed, replaced with a lead-free model, and/or affixed with a sign directing suggested usage.

By 2013, these locations have been re-tested for lead contamination. Any location which still contains levels of lead near or above the action level will be affixed with a permanent sign providing directions for safe usage.

The results of the initial 2008-2009 drinking water survey and the follow-up 2013 drinking water survey are available here.
