Undergraduate research funding proposals due by Nov. 5

The following call for internal research/scholarly/creative activity proposal funding will be emailed directly to all faculty and will be available for download at:

If you have questions, please email them to research@wwu.edu. Also, Question and Answer sessions with the Vice Provost for Research will be scheduled during October so that you can obtain more information regarding any internal research/scholarly/creative activity funding program.

NEW SUBMISSION PROCEDURE AND DEADLINE: By 5 November 2018, submit all required components (listed below) as ONE PDF to research@wwu.edu. Include digital signatures from the applicant, faculty advisor, and cognizant department chair. No paper copies will be accepted.

Undergraduate research – This program provides support for undergraduate students to engage in research/scholarly/creative work with faculty in their disciplines. Up to $1000 per project may be proposed, and approximately $30,000 total is available annually from this fund. Any equipment acquired using award funds remains University property. The Research Advisory Committee makes funding recommendations to the Vice Provost for Research. Awards may begin in the upcoming winter or spring terms.
