Two info sessions offered on using WWU's Fact Book - May 12 and 16

The Office of Institutional Research will be offering two sessions on using the university’s Fact Book this month.

  • FRIDAY, MAY 12  -  2-3PM  -  CF 231
  • TUESDAY, MAY 16  -  9-10AM  -  MH 135

Each of these sessions will go over the data available on the Fact Book and how to answer some frequently asked questions, such as:

  • How many students are enrolled in my college/department/major this term?
  • Which course in our department has the largest waitlist?
  • Is enrollment this Spring higher or lower than last Spring?
  • How many graduate degrees did Western award last year?
  • What’s the average student credit load this year and what’s the 5 year trend?
  • Are first generation students being retained at the same rate as non-first gen students?
  • What percentage of faculty are part time?

There will also be time for questions and suggestions for other reports on Fact Book that would be helpful in your work.

Registration for these sessions is not required, so please forward to anyone in your office/department/division that may be interested in attending.

Questions can be sent to ir@wwu.edu or call Dana Weigel at x2565.

See you there!
