TLA focus groups discuss meaning of 'liberal arts' education

The Teaching-Learning Academy at Western Washington University is holding focus groups through May 24 to discuss the question "'Liberal Arts' - What does it mean to you?"

At a time when some question the value of a liberal arts education, the TLA is studying what a liberal arts education means to Western in the 21st Century. Western faculty, staff and students are invited to RSVP and share their voices at one or all of the focus group meetings:

• 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25
• 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26
• Noon Wednesday, May 9
• Noon Thursday, May 24

Each session will last for one hour in Western Libraries Learning Commons, Wilson Library 270.
