TLA dialogue groups promoting civil discourse continue today on campus

The Teaching-Learning Academy begins its every-other-week dialogue on teaching and learning at Western Washington University this week.

"Whether or not you agree with those who suggest that the Tucson tragedy stemmed, at least in part, to our vitriolic public discourse, most would agree that it has never been more important to promote civil discourse whenever and wherever possible," says Carmen Werder, director of the TLA at Western. "The TLA invites everyone from the WWU community into this forum for doing just that."

TLA groups meet every other week across four times: Wednesdays at noon and 2 p.m. and Thursdays at noon and 2 p.m. This week, all four groups meet at CEED, the Center for Educational Equity and Diversity, in Miller Hall Room 05 (bottom floor). To sign up for a regular group, email Heather Dalzell at heather.dalzell@wwu.edu or just show up.
