'The Failure of Churches and Universities in Nazi Germany' is subject of Nov. 3 lecture

Robert Ericksen, recently retired from his Chair in Holocaust Studies at Pacific Lutheran University, will speak on "The Failure of Churches and Universities in Nazi Germany" at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, in Bond Hall Room 217 on Western Washington University's Bellingham campus.

Ericksen is known for his scholarship on Nazi Germany, with books such as "Theologians under Hitler" and "Complicity in the Holocaust." He is also chair of the Committee on Religion, Ethics and the Holocaust at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
