Students, staff visit with legislators in D.C.

A small contingent from Western Washington University is on Capitol Hill this week visiting with legislators. On Wednesday, April 20, the group visited with Sen. Patty Murray, Sen. Maria Cantwell, Rep. Rick Larson, Rep. Derek Kilmer, Rep. Susan DelBene, and Rep. Jim McDermott.

Students Josie Ellison, Nora Selander and Patrick Eckroth made the trip with Western President Bruce Shepard and Vice President for University Relations and Community Development Steve Swan.

Eckroth is Western's AS vice president for governmental affairs. Ellison is the AS legislative advocacy coordinator, and Selander is the AS committee coordinator.
