WWU Summer Session offers 400 courses open to the public

Western Washington University Summer Session’s 400 courses, ranging in length from three days to nine weeks, are open to the public and feature a wide range of unique topics and a variety of formats including, workshops, seminars, intensive short courses, field trips, travel programs, and weekly classes.

During Summer Session at Western, you can complete a full year’s study of French, German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish in just a six- or nine-week session, take a travel program to India, or delve into a creative, social or law-based course offered through WWU’s Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies.

WWU faculty will lead the India travel program, “Exploring North and South India.” The public is invited to join this program for a study abroad exploration of international business topics and issues, from Sept. 1-16. Discover the rich and diverse history and culture of India while learning how it has evolved from a developing economy to one of the fastest growing economies in the world. The featured Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies courses this summer cover a diverse range of topics, from creative offerings such Final Cut Pro, Watercolor, and Photography; Scriptwriting Workshop, and Children’s Theater, to social and law topics such as Social Relationships and Responsibilities, Current Issues in Law: GLBT, and International Law.
