WWU’s Peter Haug to talk on recent trip to Afghanistan Nov. 9

Western Washington University Professor of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management Peter Haug will speak about his recent trip to Afghanistan, from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9 in Parks Hall 146.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

Haug spend 22 days traveling through northern and central Afghanistan this past August.

Haug’s presentation will discuss the history, culture and scenery of Afghanistan through words and pictures. Haug visited Kabul, Bamiyan, Band-e Amir lakes, Minaret of Jam, Herat, Mazar-e Sharif, Balkh, Andkhoi, Tashkurgan, Samangan, and the Salang Pass.

Haug is currently a professor in the Department of Decision Sciences in the College of Business and Economics. He teaches Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management. Haug has lived and traveled extensively around the world, and traveled to Iran and Iraq last summer as well.
