College of Business and Economics to honor students at leadership luncheon in Bellevue Oct. 22

Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics Fall Leadership Luncheon will be held at BSquare Corp. in Bellevue on Friday, Oct. 22; the host for the luncheon will be Brian Crowley, president and CEO of BSquare.

The Leadership Lunch Program recognizes students who have distinguished themselves through scholarship and leadership while in WWU’s College of Business and Economics; students are nominated by faculty members in their respective departments.

Students being honored at this luncheon include Libbe Bear, master’s degree in Professional Accounting program, Oak Harbor; Christine Hay, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, Sammamish; Angela Heinrich, Marketing, Kirkland; Dan Huff, Economics, Renton; Brooke Summerfield, Accounting; Jennifer Wetzel, Management, Tacoma.

At the Leadership Luncheon, the students will meet and engage in conversation with successful business leaders about topics relating to career development and the challenges associated with effective leadership in organizations. The lunch provides an opportunity for business professionals to contribute to the educational mission of the College of Business and Economics through their contacts with students, one another, and the faculty.

WWU’s Center for Excellence in Management Education provides a wide variety of opportunities to connect business and industry leaders with faculty and students to promote business and economics education.
