Several Biology Dept. seminars planned for early winter quarter

Several Biology Department seminars, one of them a student's graduate thesis seminar, are planned for early winter quarter at Western Washington University.

At 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, Eric Blackstone, technology manager at the University of Washington Center for Commercialization, in Seattle, will present “Hydrogen Sulfide Induced Suspended Animation” in Biology Building Room 234.

At noon on Thursday, Jan. 6, Matthew Fisher, a graduate student in the WWU Biology Department, will present
“Uncharismatic Microfauna: Moth communities as indicators of habitat change in western Washington forests” in Communications Facility Room 23.

And at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, Diane Genereux, an evolutionary biologist in the Department of Biology at the University of Washington in Seattle, will present “Epigenetic Biology: Fidelity and Flexibility, from Phenotypes to Molecules” in Biology Building Room 234.
