Scam alert: Get a phone call for toner sales? Ignore it

Kathy Tadlock in Print and Copy Services at WWU has been hearing of an increase in phony toner sales calls on campus. Anyone who receives a call from a salesperson asking about ordering toner for the Ricoh multi-function machines should remember the following:

All supplies for the Ricoh machines are provided by Copier Support at 360-650-7969.
Departments never need to purchase machine supplies for the Ricohs. All supplies are provided.
No one from Ricoh will ever contact a department directly. Ricoh only works with Copier Support.

The calls are coming from unscrupulous toner companies trying to scam you into placing an order. If you receive a call, refer the caller to Kathy Tadlock at 360-650-7969, decline and hang up or simply hang up.
