SBDC to co-host 'Hot100BizBook Club' at Bellingham Public Library June 8

Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center will co-host the “Hot100BizBook Club” from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, June 8, in the Fireside Room of the Fairhaven Branch of the Bellingham Public Library.

The book club is a free event with a goal of getting attendees ideas and advice from popular business books and coming away with at least one solid idea to increase your business’s revenues or profits by at least $100,000.

The featured book at this meeting is “Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die,” by Chip Heath and Dan Heath.

Jennifer Shelton, WWU Small Business Development Center director, will facilitate the event. The SBDC is a partnership of WWU, Washington State University and the U.S. Small Business Administration, and provides no-fee technical assistance and business advising to local business owners/managers to assist them with their growth and development goals.

The Hot100BizBook Club will meet the second Wednesday of every other month with the next meeting on Sept. 14. The event is co-sponsored by Hot100Business, NW Business Development, WWU’s Small Business Development Center, Bellingham Public Library and Village Books.
