Reminder: Secure accessible windows

With the arrival of the warmer weather, Western Washington University Police remind faculty and staff who may be opening windows to enjoy the summer air and increase air circulation to close and secure at the end of the day all windows that are accessible from the outside.

"Unfortunately, we do have individuals who are looking for opportunities to take or damage property," said Western Police Chief Randy Stegmeier. "Let’s not provide them with the open or unsecured access for which they’re looking. Please check your work area before you leave each day."

Contact University Police at (360) 650-3911 immediately if you see suspicious persons or activities on or near the WWU campus.
