PSE chapter at WWU announces student scholarships

 

Public School Employees Chapter 829 of Western Washington University has announced that Ella Salkeld and Andrew Ibach are the 2011-12 recipients of the PSE Chapter 829 Dependent Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each.

Ella, daughter of Holly Woll-Salkeld (Emergency Management Program Specialist 4, Environmental Health and Safety) and Facilities Management Lead Electrician Doug Salkeld, will be attending Skagit Valley College in the fall after graduating from Mount Baker High School this spring.  Ella’s interests include environmental conservation, being an active member in FFA and acting as captain of her soccer team.  She also has a 3.6 grade point average.

Andrew, son of Robert L. Ibach (Information Technology Specialist 4, Telecommunications Services) is currently attending the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts School of Film and Television, majoring in performing arts. He was voted the best actor of the year at the Bellingham Theater Guild for 2009-2010. He maintains a 3.55 grade point average.
