Print and Copy Services working with WCC to provide better service, price

Print and Copy Services at Western Washington University is working with Whatcom Community College to offer the best of both areas to WWU clients.

“Our two institutions recently combined their printing operations to further meet the growing and varied needs within each entity,” says Print and Copy Services' Rosemary Sterling. “We're working together to provide a more efficient, cost effective service. We're updating our web page and will be updating our job estimating, billing, and production software so that you will have even more efficient service than in the past.”

All Western programs are required by law to use Print and Copy Services for all printing and copying jobs. In some cases, the management of Print and Copy Services may decide to use an off-campus printer for a project, and in those cases it is required that the print shop work with WWU’s Purchasing Office to secure a price quote. Together, the print shop and purchasing will follow the law to get the best price and highest quality.

“We are here to help offices and programs on campus get their printing and copying jobs done with high quality and competitive pricing,” Sterling says. ''We know that budgets are tight, and we'll do our best to make sure that you get a fair price."

Sterling noted that Print and Copy Services is working to make Western’s carbon footprint smaller by using environmentally products.

“We use 100-percent post-consumer waste Harbor paper in our machines unless otherwise requested by the customer," she says. "This paper is a biodegradable, renewable, sustainable product."
