Schuster, Majkut return for bench dedication

Jim Schuster and Kevin Majkut, both recently retired from Viking Union administration at Western Washington University, returned to the VU Monday to be presented with a hand-carved bench made in their honor.

The bench was carved by WWU alumnus Pat McVay, who owns a sculpture studio on Whidbey Island, and commissioned by the 2014-15 Associated Students Board of Directors to honor Schuster and Majkut's 38 years of service to Western.

The bench was designed for and will be installed at the Western-owned Viqueen Lodge on Sinclair Island in the San Juans.
