Scholars Week continues through May 16

Scholars Week is underway on the Western Washington University campus. The events kicked off with an opening ceremony Monday in which Cyndie Shepard, director of Compass 2 Campus and wife of president Bruce Shepard, spoke of the philosophy behind the event and pointed to the week ahead.

From art to engineering technology, students and faculty are working closely together at WWU to explore the boundaries of knowledge. Scholars Week has become a highlight of the academic year, celebrating the contributions of undergraduate students to enriching the intellectual environment of Western, and society in general.
