Pro photographers share advice with students

Student members of the Western Washington University National Press Photographer Association held an end-of-year barbecue and portfolio critique on Sunday, May 31, in the Communications Facility on campus.

Roughly 30 students, alumni, faculty and professionals attended the event; professionals from the Seattle Times and the Associated Press gave presentations highlighting women visual journalists in Pacific Northwest.

The professionals gave one-on-one critique on students' portfolios after the presentations, and students had the opportunity to ask about their future careers and to receive advice.
