Pierce returns to help open Employee Art Show

George Pierce, Western Washington University's erstwhile Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs and an early proponent of the Employee Art Show, kicked off the yearly show with a speech at the opening ceremony on Monday, March 10.

The 20th Anniversary Employee Art Show is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 10 to 14 and 17 to 21 in Viking Union Room 565. The show features diverse works of art by talented Western faculty and staff. Artwork includes jewelry, paintings, photographs, ceramics, sculpture and fiber, metal and wood crafts and more.

From noon to 1 p.m. each day, varied artists and musicians will be on site for artist demonstrations and musical entertainment. Admission is free and open to the public.
