GEMS Fair coming Saturday, May 14

Western Washington University Youth Programs will host girls of all ages in the GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math and Science) Fair from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, in Western’s Academic West building.

Families and friends are welcome to come and enjoy the event as well.

The GEMS Fair provides a safe and empowering environment to explore STEM fields and an opportunity for hands-on learning. Participants will be able to learn about STEM careers, enjoy demos, take home projects and participate in a silent auction to provide Youth Programs Scholarships for young women attending WWU Youth Programs this summer.

The GEMS Fair is a free event, but registration is encouraged. For more information on Western Washington University Youth Programs, visit wwu.edu/ee/youth/, e-mail youth@wwu.edu or call 360-650-3308.

WWU is an equal opportunity institution. For disability accommodation, please contact Extended Education at 360-650-3308 or ExtendedEd@wwu.edu.
