Facilities staffers have fun at annual chili cook-off

The annual Facilities Management chili cook-off was held Wednesday in the Physical Plant on campus. More than 60 people attended the event, which featured music from FM's Jerry Kramer.

The event raised $411 for the FM Scholarship Fund.

Contest results:

VP/Chef’s Choice (Judged by Rich Van Den Hul and Chris Kenney):

  1. Tim Springstead, Plumbing Shop, Grease Interceptor Chili
  2. Helado del Diablo, Carpenter Shop
  3. Colette Jalbert, Work Control Center

Presentation (Judged by George Pierce):

  1. Dawn Preuss, Outdoor Maintenance
  2. Sherrie Montgomery, FDCA, Yin/Yang Chili
  3. Tim Wynn, Tim’s “Last Stand” Chili

People’s Choice (Judged by the people):

  1. Helado del Diablo, Carpenter Shop – 69 votes
  2. Tim Wynn, Tim’s “Last Stand” Chili – 62 votes
  3. Pete MacCoy and Lloyd Hungate, Chili Dog Explosion – 62 votes
