'Beyond NAFTA' conference continues until 3 today on campus

The "Beyond NAFTA: Streamlining the Border to Strengthen North American Competitiveness" conference, hosted by the Border Policy Research Institute at Western Washington University, continues until 3 p.m. today in the Viking Union.

NAFTA, now 20 years old, has sparked new interest in how our economic competitiveness depends on the efficient movement of goods and people across our continental borders. This symposium brings leaders from academia, government and business to discuss new ideas related to gateway mobility, and the associated benefits to cross-border economies.

The symposium is hosted by the Border Policy Research Institute with support from the Canadian Consulate General, Seattle and the Pacific Northwest Economic Region. For more information, check out the schedule online.
