Photography students to present ‘Two Heads are Better Than One’ exhibition through Nov. 25

Western Washington University’s Interdisciplinary Studio Arts-Photography 370 class will present “Two Heads are Better Than One” through Nov. 25 at the Fine Arts Exhibition Hall on Western’s campus.

Participants in the exhibition worked together in teams to explore the idea of self-portraiture in a diptych format. Final portraits are two side-by-side panels that work together to create a relationship.

Students drew inspiration from visiting artists such as Western alumni Lindsay Borden and Adam McRae, who shared their experiences and expertise for using lighting-studio equipment and Photoshop techniques.

Students with pieces in the exhibition are: Kyra Betteridge (Woodinville), Kimmiree Bolla (Ellensburg), Angela Gallagher (Flowery Branch, Ga.), Spencer Isitt (Spokane), Annmarie Kent (Stanwood), Sophia La Maitre (Rockingham, Western Australia), Lincoln Lute (Boise, Idaho), Quinton Maldonado (Richland), Jon Maurins (Vaughn), Cade Schmidt (Ephrata), Dylan Vogel (Sandpoint, Idaho) and Jason Wyble (Mukilteo).
