The annual Student Convocation welcomed new Viks to campus with a round of speakers at the PAC, including President Sabah Randhawa; Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services Melynda Huskey; Physics/Astrononmy faculty member Regina Barber DeGraaff; and AS President Simrun Chhabra, followed by the traditional "tunnel of cheers" as the students made their way to the Old Main lawn for fireworks. Welcome new students, and have a great year!

The first day of the annual AS InfoFair started out a little gray and grim, but a glorious afternoon followed. InfoFair continues through this afternoon - come out and find the right club, group or activity for you!

About 2,045 students graduated from Western Washington University in three ceremonies June 10 when Commencement returned to Carver Academic Facility, which is nearing the end of a 2-year renovation.

The ceremony marked the first time Carver Academic Facility was open since renovation work began in August 2015. Only the gymnasium portion of the building was open, and the building is once again closed to the public so work can continue. Carver is expected to be completed in time for the start of fall quarter in late September.

From the Red Square carnival to the zipline to classes without quizzes, Back2Bellingham was another fabulous success! Click on the thumbnails at right to see images in the larger size.
