Outdoor Center offers bike excursions on Galbraith Mountain starting Sept. 29

The Associated Students Outdoor Center at Western Washington University will take bikers of all skill levels to Galbraith Mountain on Thursday, Sept. 29, for an introduction to the famous mountain biking mountain near the heart of Bellingham.

Riders of all skill levels are welcome to attend, says Katy Howell, the OC's assistant director of excursions. Riders can join the cross-country group or the downhill group, and guides cater to riders of all experience, she says.

Galbraith mountain features world-class trails and spectacular views that range from Mt. Baker to the San Juan Islands.

To attend, bring $3 and meet at 4 p.m. at the new bike shop in Buchanan Towers. No need to RSVP. Bikes are available for rent from the Outdoor Center. Trips are every Thursday throughout Oct. 27.
