Opening Convocation scheduled for Sept. 17
The fall Opening Convocation for Western Washington University faculty and staff has been scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 17. The yearly event happens just before the start of fall quarter and serves as a kickoff to the school year for faculty and staff.
The morning begins with a complimentary breakfast in the Viking Commons at 8 a.m. and continues with a speech by President Shepard and the handing out of faculty and staff awards in the Performing Arts Center from 9:10 to 10:15 a.m.
