WWU's Casey Mullin on Library of Congress committee

Casey Mullin, Head of Cataloging and Metadata Services at Western Libraries, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC) Policy Committee. The PCC, headquartered at the Library of Congress, focuses on creating and refining library metadata that meet user needs for effective resource discovery in a global context. Western Libraries is a longtime participant in several PCC programs, contributing high-quality authoritative metadata to internationally-shared databases, including OCLC WorldCat. The Policy Committee guides the governance of PCC as a whole, and develops, reviews, and approves long-term strategies, plans, goals, and objectives.
