Western to search for new travel module in early 2017

The Office of Business and Financial Affairs has received inquiries regarding the status of the Travel and Expense Management (TEM) module and wanted to share with you that Ellucian notified Western in mid-2016, that they will no longer be providing system upgrades/enhancements to this module.  Since TEM works in conjunction with web browsers to provide the user interface to the system, users could run into browser issues without these upgrades/enhancements.

“While we are unhappy about Ellucian’s decision, we are confident that working together we will find a suitable replacement to serve the campus needs,” said Brian Sullivan, associate vice president in the Office of Business and Financial Affairs.

A search for a new travel authorizations and reimbursements module will start in early 2017 and will be initiated through the Business Practices Improvements Initiatives (BPII) in Business and Financial Affairs.  A core team consisting of campus representatives will be formed to ensure campus needs are met.  The primary focus of the core team will be on needs assessment, RFP development, and the recommendation/selection of a TEM replacement module.
