Werder, Kaufer present at Michigan conference

Carmen Werder (TLA/Communication) and Blair Kaufer, a Western Washington University junior studying anthropology, presented an invited keynote lecture titled “Engaging Student Voices in the Study of Teaching & Learning: Ordinary People, Plain Pretzels & Conversational Scholarship” at the Michigan Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Conference in Grand Rapids, Mich., May 21.

Besides the invited keynote, Werder and Kaufer also facilitated a roundtable on “Sustaining Co-Inquiry on Teaching and Learning” and a closing dialogue session for all conference participants. Werder directs Western’s Teaching-Learning Academy, and Kaufer has been a student participant for multiple quarters.
