Trimble receives distinguished Francis J. Bonner Award

The director of diversity in the department of psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston recently informed Joseph E. Trimble (psychology) that he was chosen to be the 2013 recipient of the Francis J. Bonner Award.

The award was established in 2010 by the MGH Department of Psychiatry and the MGH Psychiatry Center for Diversity in order to promote diversity and inclusion in the psychiatric community.

Joseph Trimble will receive the award in the fall of 2013.

Previous recipients of the award include Carl C. Bell, director of the Institute for Juvenile Research, director of Public and Community Psychiatry and clinical professor of Psychiatry and Public Health at the University of Illinois in Chicago; and Margarita Alegria, a distinguished professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
